A Trip to the Prado

Puck and I have been tucking ourselves in bed around 2 AM here, but we’ve been getting up late too. Today, we crawled out of bed in time for breakfast, and then we took our tired legs back to central Madrid so we could go to the last day of the Renaissance Portraits exhibit at the Prado Museum. They had portraits from 1400-1600 and from museums around the world. I had to take a few breaks to make it through all the rooms of portraits, and it was amazing to see in person some of the paintings that I’ve only seen online or in books. There were a multitude of languages in the crowded exhibit too–German, Italian, Portuguese, English, Spanish…
