These photos are from Feb. 22, the Monday we wore our twin shirts to school and work (though I wasn’t wearing sweatpants to campus). Shakti gets some loving attention and photos too.

Hi Mary,
When I was pregnant, I remember noticing SO many other expectant mothers. They were suddenly EVERYWHERE! And occasionally, I would see a belly and think — there’s another! AND THEN I’d look further up from that belly and it would be a guy with a beer belly. Oops! True story.
Hugs,
Linda

That’s a funny story, and I could definitely see it happening. As my belly first started to show, I found myself walking across campus comparing my baby belly to other gal’s bellies to see if I just looked chubby around the middle still or more definitely pregnant yet. It was kind of disappointing to think… nope, I just look a little chubby to the unknowing observer.
Though tonight I was told that my belly is now about the size that some of my friends’ bellies were at 5-6 months. That makes some sense given that my target weight-gain for this next Thursday (14 weeks) is between 14-18 pounds and most singleton moms only gain 25-30 pounds during a pregnancy. (I’m still not quite up to 14 pounds.) I will be sooo huge.
