Alex and Dom hang out with Dad.<\/p><\/div>The boys are still in the midst of teething. One of Alex’s upper teeth started to show today, and he and Dom have been a bit out of sorts – waking up at night and fussy during the day. The night before last it took me an hour and a half to get Alex back to sleep even with nursing and rocking him. Poor fella. Dom and Alex managed to sleep through the night last night, though they woke a bit early. Yesterday, Puck took care of the boys in the morning while I caught up on sleep, and in the afternoon, I headed to the Mom Cave to work on the dissertation. Our boys had a fun day with their dad. Puck has identified that Dom not only says “Mama” on occasion, but he also says a version of Alex – “Ah-yah.” He’s quite the talker! Alex is babbling more of late too.<\/p>\n

Alex (left) and Dom<\/p><\/div>Today, both Dom and Alex wanted lots of Mommy time and would come over to sit on my lap or crawl all over me. When they felt a little better, they headed back out to explore and play. Sometimes a change in toys in the Playzone also distracted and engaged them. For lunch, Dom and Alex got to practice their fine motor skills – picking up and munching banana bits. Dom took to it quickly, and Alex started to catch on. After a little bit, they were ready for the food to come a bit faster – banana oatmeal. Yum!<\/p>\n
