Now that they&#8217;ve reached that initial goal, she&#8217;s eyeing 7 pounds each. \u00a0If their average growth rate continues as it is, how long will that take them?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>7 pounds = 3175 grams<\/strong><\/p>\n<h4>Alex and Dominic at current weights:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Alex = 2805 grams<\/li>\n<li>Dominic = 2643 grams<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>In the last 4 weeks each of our boys gained weight as shown:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Alexander gained 1252 grams<\/li>\n<li>Dominic gained 951 grams<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>The average of these two weight gains is:<\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">1252 + 951 = 2203 grams<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span> <\/span>2203 \/ 2 = <strong>1101 grams<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">1101 grams \/ 28 days = <strong>39 grams gained per day<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Since Dominic has slipped out of first place and weighs slightly less now, we will use him as our benchmark for 7 pounds. \u00a0(If he reaches 7 pounds, we can assume his brother has also reached 7 pounds.)<\/p>\n<h4>Additional Weight Required to Reach 3175 grams (7 pounds):<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Alex = 370 grams<\/li>\n<li>Dominic = 532 grams<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">532 grams required\/ 39 grams per day = <strong><span style=\"color: #008000;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">13.64 days<\/span><\/span><\/strong> until the boys reach 7 pounds<\/p>\n<p>Round that up to <span style=\"color: #008000;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>14 days<\/strong><\/span><\/span> to predict that we reach our target weight by August 5th.<\/p>\n<h2>Babies Countdown &#8211; The Double Header<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"color: #008000;\">42 days until September 2<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"color: #008000;\"><strong>14 days until <\/strong><\/span><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>14-Pounder Day <\/strong><\/span><\/span><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"color: #008000;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #008000;\">(August 5)<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"color: #008000;\">21 days until <\/span><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Median Day<\/span><span style=\"color: #008000;\"> (August 12)<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Thursday, July 29<\/strong> and after this day we deliver at the birthing center instead of in Sacramento.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Friday, July 30<\/strong> is our next appointment with the OB-GYN.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Monday, August 2<\/strong> is our wedding anniversary.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Thursday, August 5<\/strong> and we hit our goal of <strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">7 pounds each<\/span><\/span><\/strong> at 35 weeks.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Thursday, August 12<\/strong> and we hit our goal of 36 weeks minimum.
