We went to the Ob/Gyn for a follow-up appointment today, and the two little tykes are still doing well. Their heartbeats are good, and they are right on target for growth. In fact, they were a day ahead of schedule based on where they were last time. They’ve more than doubled in size, and we could actually see their heads and arms. At 22.1 mm (Twin A) and 23.2 mm (Twin B), they are both right around .9 inches in length.

To give you a little perspective, our two little ones are each about the size of a grape.

  1. As I told you, in the past I could barely make out the baby(ies) in those ultrasound pictures, but these I could definitely see them. They seem to have plenty of room to move around, swim and grow. Looking at those grapes really puts the size in perspective. Now I can’t wait to see the next pictures and what you will show us so we can get a comparable perspective. These engineers really know how to explain something to us!! It really is neat Puck, I just have to tease you a bit. You and Mary keep the excitement going for us and I appreciate it. Love, Mom

  2. Yes - these posts are wonderful!

    You should write a book…

  3. Lovely. Lovely.

Living in a college town has made me conversant with looking at ultrasounds. It took me a minute, but I could see them (with the aid of your thoughtful descriptions).

The videos are so much easier to “see” the babies. Do they tape where you are going?

  4. How exciting! Yolanda and I are both excited for you and Puck!

  5. Twin grapies. We were told, after all, to be fruitful and multiply.
